(Marvel vs Image)

Connections:
-Famous Comic Book Anti-heroes who were once ordinary men, but after a slew of bad luck came their way (Johnny's adopted dad Crash died in a Stunt gone wrong and Spawn himself died), they made a desperate deal with a demonic entity inspired by Satan (Malebolgia and Mephisto), who bonded their soul to a demon (Zarathos and L7-Leetha). They both served as Satan's pawn but eventually broke free and overthrew them as the King of Hell.
-Both are known to use the sins of their opponents against them and primarily use chains and firearms in combat, and have rivaled other overpowered beings and Gods.
-They're main weakness is holy weaponry (granted Spawn did get rid of his weakness to holy weapons down the line, but he still had it for a time.)
-They also have a similar 90s edgy Comic Book aesthetic to them.
-They've also turned into fucking angels before.
Tl;dr They're basically the same character let's not beat around the bush here

I'm gonna let you all on a secret. This has been my most wanted Death Battle for around 10 years now. I've started wanting it ever since Kratos vs Spawn came out, and I just thought they were perfect for each other which they basically are. I get that some people don't want GR to return, and want Spawn to fight Demi-Fiend or Jackie Estacado Which are both good options don't get me wrong, but I've always just vibed with this one more tbh.

Spawn Loses again which is sad.

I'm not doing Spawn again alright i've already included him in 4 of my thumbnails. I will probably not do Spawn vs his fate matchup or Saint of Killers.
