Yyep, just played through Undertale. After choosing to stay with her, I couldn't help but wonder about Frisk's real parents (if they have any).I've never, EVER made a comic strip thing. Expect inconsistencies.

I have considered various different scenarios regarding this very question, including one where Frisk meets their parents but doesn't want to talk to them or even see them (they had a rough childhood, see) as well as one where Frisk's parents are revealed to be dead, and Toriel, Asgore and the others attend the funeral with them.

I have this concept of undertale. Tell me if it is good. Frisk and Chara are brother and sister that came from a abusive family. While Chara took the bulk of the abuse Frisk decided to just not be home so he didn't have to deal with it. Chara eventually ran away to the mountain fell in. Frisk asked his parents to look for her but they refused so he decided to do it himself.
It is just my personal headcanon. Β Tell me if it sucks.

corperalking is correct. Chara is many years older than Frisk. This is proved in many ways, including age of characters. It'sΒ heavilyΒ implied that Toriel and Asgore stayed immortal for lifetimes after both of their children died. The fact that Chara is the first child to fall, or the Fallen Child, and Frisk is the last only helps to prove this, because we can tell from the dialogue that there was plenty of time in between each child's fall. So, while we do not have an exact number of years, we do know it was quite a lot if 5 or 6 children could fall in between those two.

the gun it self can be very old. A family heirloom passed down by his family for years. A kid could have fell down there where his cowboy costume and playing with it and then bam there you are.Β

If Frisk had real parents, they would've tried to rescue him ages before he would've woken up in the mountain. I mean, their son trapped in a mountain full of "evil" monsters?Β They would've demanded that the barrier be reopened just so they could get him out......unless they don't really love him. Either that or he doesn't have parents.

How I thought of this... if frisk even asked about staying with Toriel, then it's clear to me that Frisk loves Toriel more than his old family, and doesn't care about his old life. Plus I don't want to leave Toriel alone again... Funny how this game makes you think of characters like their real life people with real emotions.

Storywise it's kind of a drop of depression in an otherwise positive ending. You can choose to stay with Toriel but the decision means one of two possible things. First, that Frisk is an orphan. Or second, that there is a reason for him not to return to his real family.

Or maybe Frisk is a teenager midget who's going through a rebellious phase and went "F*ck you mooom you can't tell me what to do" but then fell into the mountain.

Never played the game, but your reasoning makes sense. But what about this: In almost every game you play as a kid, your parents, while loving when you return, sent you off to an adventure filled with possible death.
