Description
So the Critic, Jay Sherman, reviews the infamous Ed, Edd n Eddy episode If It Smells Like an Ed and not only does he claim that "It Stinks!", he really hates it for a good reason: After the Eds arrived in the neighborhood kids' celebration of Friendship Day hosted by Jimmy which made the kids (and even the flowers, birds, and woodland animals for unexplained reasons) unhappy and Eddy gave Jimmy a wedgy which causes everyone to laugh (even Edd and Nazz; except Sarah) at him and made him cry, someone in the cul-de-sac is out to ruin Friendship Day by committing unseen crimes and the Eds were wrongfully blamed for all of this and for Eddy blaming it on Kevin (whom I don't give a sh** about). With a painted boot-print as their only clue, the Eds go out to search for the culprit and get their names clear, but they failed to get their names cleared and did not get any justice as the cul-de-sac kids (even Nazz) angrily believes the Eds committed a crime against Jonny 2x4 as well as “lying” and for making Jimmy cry and they angrily chase the boys and beat and hurt the crap out of them with their fists, mallets, sticks, and nets and then taped them on a fenced wall and throw fruit at them as punishment while laughing, teasing, and making fun of them. As all the other kids happily leave while laughing and teasing at the Eds' punishment, Jimmy reveals to the humiliated Eds that he was behind all of this who, while the coast is clear, tells them that the reason was that Eddy gave Jimmy a wedgy during the Friendship Day celebration which causes everyone to laugh and humiliate him and as a result, Jimmy swears revenge on not just Eddy, but incorrectly Ed and Edd. With the help from the Kanker sisters, Jimmy successfully frame the Eds by ruining his own Friendship Day while everyone's oblivious, teasing and playing tricks on them using fake clues such as the boot-print and a trail of jujubes, have Rolf as his patsy to keep the trio off his trail, set up the tricks, traps, and baits such as tying up Jonny and cover him jujubes to have the Eds be wanted by the whole neighborhood for something they didn't do and unfairly get punished and despised more, and as the episode ends, the terrified Eds gets dragged away by the Kanker sisters to be in a romantic nightmare after Jimmy bribes them a reward for helping him out (via finger snap) and to add insult to injury, the Eds, after suffering the cul-de-sac's cruelty, are once again, bullied and tormented (no wonder Kankers X Eds aren't my favorite couple), while despite slipping a banana peel, Jimmy gets away Scott-free and wins .So what else I can say, its bad, cruel, mean-spirited, frustrating, anticlimactic, having everyone, but the Eds, unlikable, a slap in the face for Ed lovers, and downright unfair, and not to mention the sh***y ending. This is my most hated and despised EEnE episode and I wish I bring a Tyrannosaurus rex in it for a good reason.

hi would it be alright if I made a much better version of If It Smells like an Ed I'm thinking of correcting the problems this episode and making it better I'll remove the stuff people hated from the episode and I'll make it so Kevin and Sarah and the Kankers aren't in it for your sake people and I'll make it only have the characters people love like Ed Edd Eddy Naz Rolf Johnny and Plank and some new characters and make it have a better ending
you're not gonna like what I found out on the wiki for the episode. you know what's weird on the wiki for that episode the creator said that this is one of his favorite episodes. shouldn't he regret getting the writers and directors writing it and apologize to the fans for making the episode and why doesn't the wiki for that episode say that If it Smells like an Ed is one of the most hated if not the most hated Ed Edd n Eddy episodes of all time I mean really some wikis for some shows say that certain episodes are the most despised episodes ever.
shouldn't the creator of the show regret making it and publicly apologize to the fans for making it.
on the Hey Arnold wiki it said that the Bunny Pajama episode was so hated that even the creator of the show hated that episode and forced the writers and directors to publicly apologize for making the episode and give Iggy less screen time in response and Craig Bartlet hated the Arnold betrays Iggy episode so much that he wanted it banned from tv and that's why it rarely ever shown on tv after it 1st aired.
and after the Bendy episode of Fosters Home aired and after the bad reception it got the screen writer Lauren Faust regretted ever writing the episode and Bendy was written out of the show forever since he was so unlikable and people say it's non canon and pretend it never happenned.

Yeah go a head! You should! I would like to see that! Yeah I'm really shocked and upset to see and hear that the creator considered it one of his favorite episodes!

He defenitally has bad taste in episodes because of an episode like that but thank goodness there are way more good episodes than bad episodes of ed edd and eddy
I am thinking of making the episode begin with a friendship day and then Eddy's new friend from japan Toshi Nokami get's framed for a crime and the Ed's have to clear his name

This was in fact my least favorite episode. I wished the episode ended better. But it does show what Jimmy, a weak little kid, can do.
Dat banana peel slip though.

But he still got away with no consequences! That's just typical Jimmy stuff!

I never truly thought to much of it back then but now I can see that so many are right this episode is truly unfair to the Ed's. They get blamed for things they never did, then beat up, and molested. All the while Jimmy goes virtually unpunished for anything he did. If I could change one thing about this episode it would be Jimmy being overheard by the other kids and the Ed's getting some vindication.

But then if you think about it the episode was also presented a hard truth. Sometimes in life you don't get vindication no matter what proof you have. Especially when in they're case nobody wanted to hear it either way and may not have cared. I believe all of us have had it happen to us somewhere along the line in our lives. Your in class and the kid that hates you scratches himself with his own scissors so he can blame it on you despite the fact you weren't even interacting with him nor to you even have your own visible. The teacher who doesn't like you either way punishes you despite your pleas of innocence and nobody cares to help you.
Its a sad occurrence of life.

Yeah and that's what makes this episode bad and terrible! Those are one of the main problems!
By the way the teacher you mentioned should be fired for it

Well the good news is that after I left I heard she was no longer teaching. Still teachers back in the 90's got away with too much.

I agree that episode I really didn't like. Though I could've given that show (The Critic) a chance if certain popular reviewers like to use that "Just Don't Go" speech he gave as a mouthpiece to movies they don't want to see. Admiditly it would've been nicely said, but it comes of as being pretentious, and there is a big hole in it. Sadly not everybody is going to see some of the greats as good all the time. Besides I really did not like the ending of Life of Pi. I know it does tries to bring humanity into reviewers, and there are some that I like, but the majority of them just make themselves look like bullies because people rather have their own way. But sadly anything like that is almost like the arguments over politics, environmentalism and racism.

A character from a hibrow adult cartoon a reviewing a lowbrow cartoon made for kids. You may have some unfair biases If you think the later is better for your kids to watch.
