Color is kind of a new thing for me... So I'm still unsure where to go yet. That can explain it.

That makes a lot of sense. I haven't even gone near color myself yet. I'll be taking a class for it next semester, I think. It's always intimidated me.
You've shown the forms really well. It's a bit bright, but that's what's always intimidated me about color. There's a lot of more natural hues that you have to discover to make it more believable, instead of doing pink skin, brown hair, etc. There's a lot more tones for skin and hair than most people assume.
