About 15 hours. Mouse, Paintshop Pro.This one's been on-and-off for ages. I wanted to try some new colouring styles, what with the chunky lineart and such. This is a new character for my forum but he was also invented for Danezle .

But really (I must say it) the head is correct, the proportion with the shoulders are perfect. It's only the forearms who are a very little bit too big/long and the hands are more too big than the forearms.

I disagree. The ratio between his head and the height of his bellybutton is 1:1.95. The ideal would've been about 1:1.6, indicating either an elongated torso or a squat head. Since most ratios in proportions relate back the length/width of the head, if it's too small then little more can be discerned. His forearms are about the same length as his head, which is more or less proportionate, but if his head is too small then this is not a reliable calculation. You're right; he does have big hands. Some people do have big hands though. Also, his elbows would rest slightly above his bellybutton if his arms were rested. This is also roughly accurate. But all this is the problem with trying to discern correct anatomy. It gets to the point where I just leave it as it is because it doesn't matter. There is absolutely no reason at all to tell somebody that what they've drawn is anatomically incorrect if we're only talking about a minor percentage of difference. It's pointless

I'm not a fan of boys with tattoo's but I make exceptions for certain people, and you're one of them. XD Awesome coloring and shading job, especially with all the shadows coming off of his jacket onto his skin. My favorite part of him is his navel which is just adorable. And amazing work in drawing the hands. Maybe you should do a tutorial on that sometime, because I have so much trouble with that. Amazing!

People often seem to make exceptions for me ;D I'm really glad you like it! Drawing hands is the same as drawing everything else; practice and study until you're comfortable enough to draw them from your imagination. Before that point, though, references are ideal

I've always assumed by your character's facial structures--that they are very young, but when I see the situations you place them in, I sometimes wonder if I am mistaken?
