Description
White watercolour pencil, transfer grid from reference onto A4 black paper. About 14 hours.Decided to upload another "old one"; it was actually completed early November 08.
I used a movie still from Bridge to Terabithia (actor is Josh Hutcherson, playing the role of Jesse) to draw this.
A touching scene from a great movie.
I put a lot of work into this one... I scanned it and compared it I think six or seven times before it got to a stage where I was happy with it. I was going to list flaws I'm aware of that you don't need to mention but thought that would just be silly. His face is not crooked

Wow, this is so beautiful! You've really captured the scene here. Josh is such a great actor that I basically cry through the entire ending of the film. Great work, keep it up!

Wonderful! I cried so hard in that movie! It didn't help that I went to it in theaters and had a cold. You can imagine what happened after that!

Why all of your works must be so fantastic and so real?
I've no idea how it is to be such a good artist as you are.

I've got a question for you...
Did you use a fixative on your drawing? I did a white (charcoal) on black drawing today and sprayed it with fixative but the white has dulled to grey. Any ideas how to correct this?

I've used fixatives but none have changed the colour of my work. Then again, I've only used black charcoal and not white. This drawing is white watercolour pencil. Have you tried using hairspray instead? It does essentially the same thing but smells nicer. I suggest you do a bunch of sample tests; it may have been the charcoal, the paper, or the spray.
