Interesting . Infact This is more than interesting iirc before into the darkness was made they were disscussing plans for the design of the vengance until somebody somehow showed JJ Abramas the design of the Polaris Class.

So in other words the Dreadnought class USS Vengance is actualy a JJ Abrams version of the Polaris class itself infact so much that Abrams actualy took insperational traits from this kind of design such as that deflector dish.

The USS Vengeance and USS Polaris are two separate designs and any design similarities are entirely coincidental. By the time this image was uploaded (March 14, 2014), the USS Vengeance used in Into Darkness had already been designed, built, rendered and cut into the final film for Star Trek Into Darkness. I have no part in the design for the USS Vengeance.

ofc. I didint say that you did.

But some parts of me tell me that the design and use of the Vengeance was inspired by the Polaris although different but similar its all that i know.

As for the Polaris xD still like the Vengeance JJ Abrams's Enterprise wouldn't stand a chance against the Polaris

Think the same but it is a nice ship

The ship looks like a cross between an Excelsior and a Sovereign class starship

My thoughts exactly.

I also see hints of the Legacy class in her, but that may be conincidence.

You know this shot reminds me of the USS Vengeance now...

That was not intentional.

Perhaps not, but the similarity is kind eerie. I thought the Vengeance's deflector seemed familiar.

That is an interesting view, not a fan of the dish but I really do like this view of the ship. I could see Starfleet going this way in the late 24th early 25th century.
