The grain is intended to give a old semi-faded effect to fit in with the idea of a phoenix - in a kind of faded glory of past days.
Edit: Just adjusting some non-grain related issues, to get the physics of the piece working better

Way too grainy for the old semi-faded effect... dust and scratches is what you need lol
The render doesn't really go well.. i think for a phoenix you need smooth flowing and like *coloured* shapes lol
anyways i love this piece anyways but its just a few details away from being L337(jeez i haven;t used that in a while)

Thanx for the comments. I have found that absolutely stupidly i merged some layers and so can't get rid of the grain effect! I think i will have to remake it sometime soon.

Theirs a lot of patches of grain which seems to deminish the quality of this, also it looks stretched.
