I am stoked because I am finally finding a way to reproduce my current traditional illustration techniques digitally. So in the middle of creating an Illustration of Erick Sermon I created this desktop. I have the actual desktop in my gallery , so check my Steez please!!?!.Related content

Whoa, that's some intense hatching. and it's SO good to see someone here use colder colours for shading, you know how rare that is to see on dA?
The eyes will look different though right?
One technique you probably know about for duplicating your paper lineart onto your screen canvas, is using Multiply on Photoshop... it's pretty much flawless, I use it a lot for digital drawings. If you don't know the technique I'd be happy to explain.

I am not aware of the rareity of cooler colors being used for shading on DA, but I know I picked that up from Drew Struzans Prismacolor over airbrush technique and my Oil painting teacher.
THe Eyes will look way different, much more like green eyes look, and with much more naturalistic detail.
I am aware of how to get my hand drawn lineart to blend with my digital color, but what I am trying to accomplish is getting my colorpencils to blend well, and have the right texture in Painter. This image is by far the closest I've gotten yet. You see the thing with prismacolors is this; the medium to light colors are almost completely opaque over medium-dark to dark acrylic. I usually (in my traditional method of rendering) airbrush, paint, or drip medium-dark to very dark acrylic over a hi-key/hi-contrast value drawing on a gessoed illustration board. I then proceed to reestablish the medium to light values with prismacolor, working my way up to an opaque white gessoe/water mixture for hi-lites and effects. I outline with black sometimes, or with a sharp medium dark color to light color....It is directly from Drew Struzan's techniques..I just don't project my work, due to the fact that I am trying to create caricatures and what not.

I really do want some feed back on this i will just post the Picture by itself as a WIP. I am going to need help on the back ground. I usually create random textured b.grounds, but I want this to have a transendental (I don't even know what this word really means, I think..whatever) environment. I started with a sunset and some water, but, I'm up for any suggestions from you pros....HELP!!!!
