Val is beautiful. It's a good picture. The reason's it's not a great pictures-
1)You cut off her hand-awkward
2)Skin is blotchy after photoshop work
3)Your skin corrections are still obvious.
4)Skin is too soft-it's lifeless.
5)little details like the orientation of the clasp on her chain often make or break a good photo.
6)What is up with the Soviet symbol???

1) It was candid while i was testing light. Not posed.
2) It is a Still Rotoscope (with a wacom tablet)as is MOST of my work is. This means the blotchyness/cartoon ness you see is 100% intentional. - Here is a definition of rotoscope for you: [link]

4) This softness comes with resampling down to 800x533 from 21 MPX - even with Bicubic Sharpening. See out my B&W radiator series to see the differences in resampling
5) See #1, plus the fact that I have a personal preference for imperfections. Often times I will do this on purpose (not this time) to add reality.
6) She's Russian and it was a funn addition for her. On my prints, there are no signatures, or symbols. For online viewing, I really don't mind.
