Just a little something I did out of boredom, I noticed this old sprite of Kakuna, and noticed a lot of the original red/blue sprites dont look much like the pokemon theyre meant to be.So I went and did this alternate art of the original kakuna sprite, enjoy.

The new leak "The Space World 1997 demo for Pokemon Gold has leaked online" provides sprites and the one for Kakuna if you use it in battle, shows it's claws

Funny you mentioned that leak, recently found it and started drawing all the unused Pokemon designs in a 1999 Ken Sugimori style.

I absolutely love your take on Kakuna's design. And yeah, not all sprites matched Sugimori's official artwork. An example of early installment weirdness.
