I would love to know how my friend, I don't think there's anything that can beat the power of memes. Heck, I don't think it'd be much of a stretch to say that memes were a big reason the current President of the United States was elected!

That's why I use them instead of large, written articles anymore about my Sonic Opinions. Because memes offend and get to the point quite quickly!
It's simply more effective. In a society with so much information being displayed all the time, we need to hear the best reasoning, bottled up into a tight bombshell that expels truth- (or a well forged lie for that matter) quickly and easily. That's where memes come in.

It's just sad that this is what it's come to. I can only hope and pray that Sonic Forces delivers on what it appears to be selling. I've been waiting a very long time for this, and I'm still on pins and needles wondering what Sonic and Co. are going to do about Infinite, especially if Shadow is down for the count (possessed?). Whatever Infinite seems to be able to do, Chaos Control isn't going to be enough to stop him.

I think that Sega ruled out the possibility that Shadow is possessed, and said specifically that "Shadow is working with Eggman for his own reasons." This makes me hopeful since mind control is such an easy way to write a character the way that you want, and they didn't choose to take this route. It means that they may be paying greater attention to the lore of the Sonic Universe and actually plan to reference facts stated in both SA1 and SA2 regarding the Universe Sonic takes place in.
However, the writing of Shadow could still suck, as we know Warren Graff is still involved in the writing. I think that one of two Japanese writers are also helping with the project. However, working outside in the sun has made my brain far less effective and solidating the accuracy of what I've heard has been difficult. I don't remember where I heard these things and if they are correct or not.
I have been in the 50/50 zone myself. I already know what's going to happen to Tails. This alone makes me fearful that the rest of the cast have no hope either. That being said, Eggman was pretty decent in Sonic Lost World. If Sonic himself isn't full of jokes where he mocks himself and his own franchise then we will be on a much better path. That's what Ian Flynn was brought in for.
Of course, the outcome will be known in due time.

The thing that makes me think Shadow isn't all there in the head is the trailer for Infinite. I don't know if you've seen the image circulated, but if you pause the trailer when Shadow turns to look at Sonic after he fails to boost towards Infinite, you see there's something VERY WRONG with his eye.
As for Graff, as far as I know, he only did the English translations, so the story itself was written in Japan, and the guy producing the game is Shun Nakamura...can you guess which previous Sonic game he was in charge of? I'll let you check it out for yourself, heh heh.
I'm hopeful for Forces, there's too many elements that I really like for it to be a total wash. Lost World I knew from the get-go was going to be pretty pathetic as for as story goes, but this seems like a legitimate story, and from what I've seen from the conversations had between characters, I don't think they're being used as parodies of themselves. Major plus.

I'm hopeful too. You can never tell what the end will bring, but the signs are more positive right now. The one bad sign I saw was when Sonic told Infinite "I don't even know your name!" And then he gave an odd smile, however, that was but one moment, and a moment to be interpreted in context.
The lack of self parodying is welcome.

I appreciate you allowing me to get my frustrations out lol. The only franchise who gets this treatment is Sonic, it seems. If ANY other franchise had tried this they would be critically acclaimed tbh.

Yeah, it's sad. Sonic fandom is really negative sometimes.
I just avoid saying anything serious about the series
since people take it so personally. (it's almost like bringing up religion lol)
