I still have some unuploaded drawings from ArtFight left! (probably because I revenged everyone who attacked me this year. Apart from these few attacks sent just before AF ended and I noticed them when I wasn't able to upload any more attacks. As I was asleep then. But I still made nearly 50 animated drawings in a month) I think that my style developed a lot since then, but as always, it was an amazing opportunity to practice and experiment.ΒCharacter belongs toΒ artfight.net/~Calulu

Personally I am a writer and thus I am not too familiar with the correct verbiage for evaluating art, however I will do my upmost best. To begin I would like to make note of the colors you utilized for this creation. The reds, golds, and the peach color on the background are extremely pleasant to observe. The fact that you incorporated branches and leafs into the backdrop gives the work a sense of fullness or completion. This is specially true when contrasted with the inner more colorful branches inside the scope. This creates a feeling almost comparable to breathing out, almost rhythmically at the pace of the animated twinkle. That being said I believe that a bit more twinkle, and I mean really just a tiny more would better accentuate the image. Most of the stars are based on her shoulder and lead upwards away from the richness of the velvet roses that encompass her below. I love that the image as is seems to be passing the stars from this roses almost as if to nature itself as they go upwards and into being animated. Her hair is lovely, the texture is truly well done. It is easily distinguished from that of the roses and yet it seems almost as petals folding upon itself. On that note I think perhaps having made the hair he same shade as the hair inside her hood would accentuate the work even more. This is where I was thinking you could possibly have added a twinkle or two, such that her hair contrasts further from the roses and gives her a larger sense of wholeness. Additionally, on the note for the hair color, I think that since the current shade is very similar to the background it gets undermined from the gorgeous roses that i lays upon. I think that maybe if the inner part of it (the hair closest to her and the roses) was the color of the hair in her hood and then it faded into the color it is now, would be magnificent. I believe this could render it an air of acceptance, almost as if she is nature and all that which surrounds her burn with such vivid red passion because of it. Lastly I would like to express that this is a very pleasant work of art. - Fallen
