Skirmish Type ASC: Designated: Helldancers
An Autonomous Superior Core (ASC) that went into production early on in the ASC intiative, before the AI that had laid dormant in the alien database that crashed into South Africa as a meteorite.
They were designed as an advertisement piece, in partnership with a corporation looking to advertise their new shooter, than a machine meant to see actual combat. This meant that it was designed with cheap materials that could be easily recycled into other machines once the original units were no longer needed.
This lead these machines becoming the frontline machines of the MASC forces early in the war, as MASC could recycle any destroyed units it recovered into replacements. They are almost never seen in as large numbers as they were originally deployed, though they still can be seen as fairly common vanguard scout groups.
