In bed today with a fever of 102, so quick posting early and then back to bed. Booo.This is a walk through my denial and acceptance of being Lactose Intolerant. It's only funny b/c I spent so long denying it, even though the signs were there.
The last panel is a common reason I would give: "It can't be, b/c I LIKE dairy!"

It takes always time to get used to it, I needed time too, but I'm lucky that I'm only intolerant to cow diary products

Yeah, it's only been a year since I finally accepted my fate.
Yeah, but I have a slight allergy to chocolate, and dark chocolate has too much chocolate in it, so I tend to get a headache when I eat it. (yeah, it's weird, it runs in the family). Plus, there is no dark chocolate in Japan ^_^;;

I was under the impression that even people who are lactose intolerant can still eat cheese just as long as it's not the softer, less aged cheese. The longer the cheese ages, the more the bacteria in the cheese noms on the lactose, so firmer, more aged cheeses contain less lactose and are therefore better for your tummy....
Unless Alton Brown of Good Eats was LYING to me D= .

No, you're right ^_^ Older cheeses don't have at much lactose in them, but it's really hard to find old cheese in Japan

That is what I said too, when it was looking like I might be lactose intolerant. I was all IF I CAN'T EAT CHEESE, I'D DIE. And then it happened to me >_<

Thanks ^_^ I would kill for some chicken soup, but no cans of broth, and making the broth would take too long. And the chicken flavor cube things have lactose in them T___T

Really? Oh god that must stink, I never knew that. Ironic, I just used some today for dinner.
Did your fever ever get better? Or are you still sick? If you are, try eating something else like... tomato soup?

hm the two cats of my sis are here.. the small one im allergict to, the bigger one not and i so lvoe cats >.< its horrible.. but if i stay too long with the smaller one, i canΒ΄t breathe,eyes and nose run and i sneeze x.x
