The story of Stand-in has involved at least once successful genocide run. It would be a little bit tricky to deal with their dispute in a story like this.
Of course you can think them with a different way in the original game, or you can keep your own opinion if you disagree with my thought. It’s totally okay. But if you find it acceptable, I’ll appreciate it.

That's exactly how it works on the original game. After all, most of the design are simple on the original undertale story, and that's what Toby fox want to tell us as well-- it's better to give some mercy than kill. XD

Honestly I took so long to decide whether I should discuss about this. The relation between human characters and players is only a vague idea from official information. So that makes people argue with each other easily.
But finally it's still important for me to try to explain that...just do my best.
