I prefer the interpretation which Asriel looked as an adult before they fused, and their fusion form appears "a being with incredible power" so there's a room to design for it xD

This form also explains more why the humans were afraid. The adult monster fusion form that everyone has accepted doesn't look as frightening as this form and the simple-minded humans fueled by their fears of the unknown could easily attack this being out of worry that it would attack them first.

I agree, but every artist displays a character's personality differently and not all stay true to the original content. But I like your depictions most since it showcade both their viciousness and how they came to be, making them a more 3 dimensional character ^^

I just don't see Chara the way that some people dipict them. (not gonna judge them tho)
That is simply not what I learned from the original game.
In some way, I would even say Chara is one of the most human characters there (which is ironic since they hate humanity so strongly xD)
