Having been sick for a few days, I watched through a bunch of episodes of Black Jack, and I have to say, wow. Osamu Tezuka is definitely the freaking God of Manga, a master of human drama in drawn form. Wow.What started off as something that was supposed to be a quick sketch of Black Jack himself turned into this riduculously gothic piece. Took longer than I wanted to draw and color, but I think the outcome is pretty good. My apologies to Tezuka.

So the show is pretty good? I had the chance to watch it awhile back but passed. I guess I should give it a few episode trial run.

It's a good episodic drama, but the art tends to lean toward a classic style that may not rub well with some (I like it, though) and the "medicine" in the show is rather fanciful. But if you're tired of angst, bishes, and the like, this may just be the break you need. You'll know whether you'll like the series after the first three episodes.
