So WHO can't colour?
You little minxy liar!
This is absolutely gorgeous.
And yes, you have please me.
A smile hath been bestowed upon the face of your master!
Sorry, weird.
I love it, and it's amazing, even if you think you need more practice. Remember, I'm a pessimist and I think it's lovely.

What I do when I colour them is have a blank outline, then try to figure out where the light bits go with different colours, light light to dark might be orange to red to green to blue, to make it more obvious. Then I try proper colours and, if they don't work, alter the brightly-coloured one.
It's a good process, for me at least.

oh, i see what you mean!
i flat coloured everything, and then went over parts with colour/white at a low opacity to create different shades. i then created some shadows with dark blue and black.

yes, changing the colour to have translucency. like 0% opacity is completely invisible, while 100% opacity is solid colour thats completely opaque. i make some shades of colour at like 30% and go over the colours that ive already put on the drawing to create different shades and tints. d:

...Is that like changing it from being bright to dull and eventually grey/black, or is it something that you put over colours that are already there to change them slightly...?

i don't think you can do it with ms paint, so i see why youre a bit confused D:
it's basically like stained glass. you can see through the glass, but also you can see the colour of the glass. basically you're overlaying this 'coloured glass' onto a drawing, changing the shades slightly.
i hope this makes sense. xD

Oh I see!
I get it now, and yeah, can't do that with MS Paint.
It's too cheap and nasty. XD
