Sweet, I'm digging this design. are you going to include pouches/stowage points for the various little things you need when you head off to conventions in this? Using tactical pouches for it of course, nothing like keeping M&Ms in a mag pouch.
I would have tried to make the helmet's forehead a closeable "blast shield" (would have it designed to lock into the jaw area) and have the blue "camera" lights thingies on the sides of the head still visible while in "shell down".
It'd probably be handy if that curved piece sticking out the back could be used as a grip for holding the helmet after you take it off.
+10 points if you work a I pod (or similar) case into the helmet so you can listen to tunes while wearing the helm.
