This is awesome but the Riverlander's armor makes me cringe.

I love the grim face of the Tully soldier. I wonder, are these depictions of basic foot infantry or some sort of elite household guard. Perhaps even knights? Though a knight would most likely be on a warhorse.

I had envisioned both as being pretty much on the level of the full-time retainers and men-at-arms that formed the core of a Knight or Noble's army (wealthy enough to afford armor, weapons and maybe a bit of combat training, but not at the social standing of actual Knights)
I did always imagine that the Lannisters were probably the one house who could afford a standing, fully professional army, so I had this guy (probably some mid-level officer like a Sergeant) outfitted in some spiffy armor to signify that.
Obviously on all sides substantial numbers of troops would just be untrained peasants with whatever shoddy weapons or armor they could get their hands on.

Ooh, I really like these drawings of the simple infantrymen! It really gives further dimensions to "your" renderition of the ASOIAF universe.

Your designs are a lot more realistic than the show's, especially when compared to the show's Lannister armour (ridiculous helmet) . By the way I love that your using your own designs as opposed to just copying and altering what's already been done with all of them.

I know man people tend to care only about main characters. I myself am preparing a cosplay and I'm doing a Stark footman, poorly armored with only a gambison.
