DA - IDI was just thinking what kind of adventures Hiccup would have with Toothless--then I just kind of remembered a time when I got lost in the woods at the back of our great aunt's house. Not the best of times. ;_;
So here's Hiccup...looking for Toothless. In the middle of nowhere.

Oh my this is incredible. When I saw it as your ID, my heart just broke. I'm a total Hiccup fan, and to see him cold and alone -- ahh!! The angle on this one, the color, the allusion of thought and story with those faint words up there, the swoosh of line throughout the picture. Mind-blowing good!!!

The emotion in this is really tangible. It's a simple picture, but that just adds to the feeling of desolation and loneliness. And the worried look on his face... ;_; Aaa, Hiccup, please reunite with Toothless soon!

The sequel is set to release in 2014, or so I've read. I so can't wait! I think it'll based on the 2nd book, which if so will be quite epic!

I like this very much. The bold lines are expressive and the color/shading just right for the composition. I especially like the expression on Hiccup's face, worried but determined. Love that movie ...

Man, how on earth do you do these icy colors? I've been drawing a lot of Canadian snowy pictures lately, and they all look like crap.

To make everything look icy...I guess just put a lot of contrast between the snow and the ice. But that's unless you bleak looking setting. I haven't experimented with snow in the 'daylight' yet...so I'll find that out.
