The next entry in the new comission series brings us a question. "What if Super Megaforce was more like Gokaiger? The main thing my "patron" wanted was that the logo look like the others from the "Neo Saban" era and for the Gokiager symbol to be seen in the back.
The main challenge on this was just trying to decide how everything should look. I tried a couple ideas and even presented three to my "patron" for him to choose from. I knew I wanted some sort of map, but I didn't want a traditional pirate map. So I found a nice star map on a stock image site I use and incorporated that. While it sounds easy, I agonized over HOW to use this for hours. Ultimately the customer wanted this version that looked like it was done on some sort of old parchment.
The "Power Rangers" part is not a tracing this time. I tried that, but the results were not coming out as nice as I wanted. So I utilized a close approximation of the font and used the "Envelope Distort" tool to get it close to how it should be. And then further manipulated it from there. It's not 100%, but my customer and I are satisfied with the final results.
