Description
I scrapped my Dante WIP, and now I've moved on to drawing Ciri. I wasn't really in the mood when I started Dante and I was forcing myself too much, didn't really enjoy it =[.
I am having fun though and did actually want to draw this, so I guarantee I'll finish this one lol.
I'll update this picture as I draw.
1- As with all the WIP's I do, nothing is finished here yet. Hair continues down, and a lot of the eye is still left to work on. Eyebrow needs to be reshaped a little.
2- Made the images a lot smaller so the file wouldn't be massive, so the quality doesn't look the best right now. It'll be better/clearer in the final picture. Smooth skin takes a lot of time and care ._.'
3- Got some work done on the next eye. I wanted to more or less finish it before uploading this picture but I ran out of time today and still wanted to update. Still tons to do but I'm having a lot of fun =].
4- Feels like a lot more work than I actually accomplished lol, but I'm done for this day. Made this picture bigger so you guys could see it a bit better. It's still a bit pixelated because I needed to size down the original a lot, otherwise this file would be huge by the time it was done. The finished piece won't be pixelated =].
5- The face for the most part is done now. I need to go back and soften up the cheekbone on the dark side, it's too prominent. Other than that there's only small things I want to touch up, then I move on =].
6- Took a break for a few days, been busy and tired ._. This will be the last picture I post for it before I finish it.
Reference is by Astor Alexander and can be found here: twitter.com/AstorAlexander/sta⦠Absolutely fantastic work and I hope I can do it at least some justice. I haven't drawn for nearly a year so we'll see xD

I've thought about streaming/recording it before, but I don't know how other people manage to do it lol.
I can't seem to get a good angle with the camera, that allows for good quality, good lighting AND me not obstructing the view. Angle of the camera and lighting matters as well since it's graphite, and there will be glare from the graphite sheen if it's not at JUST the right angle. Add all these things together and the few times I've dabbled with it, it's proven to be quite difficult to get it all set up together ._.'

Hey thanks a bunch =]. Nice to see you're still hanging around, it feels pretty quiet here these days lol. Sorry for the huge gaps in between drawings, I hope to become more regular with dA again. Things are just busy ._.

Usually, how long does a piece like this take for you to draw?

Anywhere from 20-40 hours probably. I've never really kept that close of track ._.'
I've been working on it a couple hours or so a night for awhile now.
