Often when it is cloudy and there seems to be no hope to see the lights, it can turn around and give you such a magical show, this was one of them.

Yeah, this was one of those compositions one holds in reserve just in case things gets interesting, this time it certainly did and I got to use it.

Great use of the conditions and surroundings! It's a bit of a shame imho that the tree obscures the mountains in the backround that have a decent amount of snow on them. On the other hand, that might be good as well because those aren't taking away any of the spotlight the tree enjoys.
