superb photo, the distance greatly improves the depth. Β

Thank you very much.
It was interesting walking along the shores looking for a composition, with the thin ice I could not walk onto the ice, but I could use my telephoto lens once I found this area.

cool story!
I hope you don't mind if I share my drawing. don't pay the character any attention, but I think your photo is pretty similar to the background:Β fav.me/da9409p

Oh yeah, the idea is really similar to the image, coincidences throughout.

A beautiful image.
I'm interested in the focus stacking and I do love the clarity it brings to the shot. Β Do you think you could have managed with less than 22 shots or was the depth of field really that narrow at 135mm? Β

Thank you very much.
No, I had the closest part in the image almost at closest focus, if it had been I am sure I would need 4-6 more images, with 22 it was just about enough to get the entire image in focus.

Was the combining of the images difficult to do? Β Did you do it manually or use PS or Affinity Photo etc?

Not really, due to making sure I focus stacked correctly with enough overlap it was not hard.
I used a combination of automatic and manual blending in photoshop.

I love the way the warm colors counterbalance the cool in this! (And wish I could be in this magical scene!) Β Thank you for your beautiful pictures!

An amazing amalgamation of warm hues and serene, icy scenery! The colours of the sunset reflecting off the barren, dark landscape transform it into something utterly captivating. I also like the composition of the photo, the creek zigzagging across the scenery adds an intriguing nuance to the scene.
Good work!
