Very nice art, but I think you need a bit more contrast between the floor and walls. As it is they blend into each other too much and it's difficult to see at a glance where the floor ends and the wall begins. Try a darker palette for the floorboards instead of using the same wood palette across the whole image.

Oops, I just put together some Chrono Trigger graphics and claimed them my own, I am caught! (No, not even the inspiration is from Chrono Trigger, just the style is maybe a little bit similar)

It looks amazing! I love the stone stove (is it the right word?), but the stone piece scaping the wall upper limit seems a little odd to me ^^ just an opinion.
I would really love to se more games with this oldschool look.
