Description Ahahaha! First attempt at drawing Nick Tatopoulos! The heck, first time I've drawn a recognizable human EVER!!!

Ok, this one is (kinda) based on this screenshot from the movie ([link] )... Aaaand I already know I messed up the proportions big time

Godzilla this version is (c) to TriStar and Toho.

As a matter of fact this is the godzilla from the movie, not the one from the series. It's the scene after Nick takes a picture of Godzilla and it leans down to observe him.

well, in the series, Zilla is like a pet and guardian of Nick as well as good humans

What I meant was that I drew that particular scene from the movie, thus the Godzilla in my drawing is not the one seen in the series but his parent (the original Zilla).
And the truth is that in the series, Zilla Jr's main concern was Nick, with the rest of the HEAT team receiving protection only by association with his "parent". As for other humans, Zilla was rather oblivious of them. He only "helped" and "protected" humans for two reasons: 1) because he was protecting his territory and/or Nick, and 2) because Nick ordered him to, not because he was interested in doing so. Zilla caused just as much damage as the monster/threat of the episode, causing him to be a just as dangerous for people too.

You're not even reading and analizing my comments, right? But sure, if you see their relationship as frienship, I guess it can work a little like that. I just always saw it from a more complex point of view.

And Nick in the movie most often has his glasses on. In the movie he looks a lot more like a nerd than in the series

Yeah, I know. And movie Nick was, well, more in the "adorkable" side of the nerd spectrum than Series' Nick lol. And those glasses enhanced the feeling. But in this particular movie scene he isn't wearing his glasses, which is why I kinda tried to mesh togheter Nick's look from the series with the one he has in the movie... but feel like I failed epically

Well, nobody's perfect. And certainly no-one nails a specific character on the first try. But thanks for taking your time in viewing and voicing your disconfort with the drawing. Makes me strive for doing a better job when I try again.
Now, that said, I understand you don't liking the drawing, seeing how you faved the screenshot over it. But what I don't stand is the screenshot being faved when it obviously doesn't belongs to me and didn't even take me five seconds to get it done (being its only other purpose to serve as a reference for the lawls), compared to the hours I spent on this drawing. My drawing, crappy as it is.
So now I feel obliged to inform you that I'm removing said screenshot from my scraps.
Sorry if I sound rude.

I love US Godzilla too, but I think it is better if you show it by faving the actual art and not the stock imagery. DA is an art gallery, not photobucket :/

*snort* Ahahaha! You know, I haven't seen the drawing that way, but now that you mention it, Godzilla really looks kinda sad... Though I wasn't aiming for that with the drawing
