I noticed that a lot of art for gaster has him partially liquefied. why is that? :l great drawing, by the way.

Well I think it's because the whole theory behind him is that he destroyed himself during one of his experiments, erasing himself from ever existing, although he still does in some sort of way. So he wouldn't really have a physical form. In turn if you were to see him he probably wouldn't be able to make himself appear how he used to look, he would be distorted, unable to retain his appearance i.e liquefied, smoky, transparent. any sort of distortion really.
That's why I do it at least! (and i like how it looks lol)
