FanArt - Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events.

Here's the Queequeg's crew : the infamous Captain Widdershins, his step-daught Fiona the mycologist, and the happy-go-lucky cook, Phil. It's hard for me to draw non-aesthetical people ; they either come out not human enough or still too beautiful. The Captain should have been fatter, but I drew Fiona and Phil first and only added him as an afterthought ; and if he had any bigger I wouldn't have found any spot to put his feet on the ground ! At least the book describe him as "enormous," not "fat" ; I got the "enormous" part right, at least. Fiona's good and I'm very happy with the way Phil turned out.

All of these three annoy us a lot when they appear. The Captain has an irritating speech pattern and abandons the crew, Fiona sinks the Klaus/Isadora ship forever and betrays the rest of the crew, and Phil... Well, having a pollyanna in a series where things get worse every two seconds is not the best idea. But did they really deserve what they got in the end ? No, no, it's nothing, just a dust in my eye...
