Well, I've been at this account for a year now. I've posted a lot of art in that time, but ther have also been a lot of works that didn't get posted. Sketches that just didn't turn out good enough. Concepts that never quite worked. And some pieces that just managed to slip through the cracks. Well, with a year under the belt, it seemed like a good time to look back and survey some of the works that didn't make the cut the first time around.

Hm. Ran out of letters for my sketch dump drawings. Should have planned that better...

So, at one point, I was watching a movie that turned out to pretty crappy, and I got bored, pulled out my sketchbook and a book on castles, and started drawing a gatehouse from a reference picture. It took a while, and didn't come out particularly special looking. Only looks vaugely like the reference pic, to boot.

And to add insult to mediocrity, I couldn't come up with a good way to use the background for an actual scene. As you can see from the scale figures, I was imagining something with a Drake, but couldn't come up with anything worthwhile...
