Well, I've been at this account for a year now. I've posted a lot of art in that time, but ther have also been a lot of works that didn't get posted. Sketches that just didn't turn out good enough. Concepts that never quite worked. And some pieces that just managed to slip through the cracks. Well, with a year under the belt, it seemed like a good time to look back and survey some of the works that didn't make the cut the first time around.

Here's a creature design that went nowhere. I had vauge notions of a turtle when I sketched this. That didn't translate directly into a shell, but... I was thinkg of a big barrel chest, with a hard, protruding rib cage that could absorb a frontal blow, and had room to recoil back without breaking or squeezing any vital organs... Beating this guy's chest would have been more akin to beating a drum that hitting another guy in a fight. Loud and undamaging.
