Description Well, it's about that time; the time I look back and realize that I've had this accound for a whole 'nother year. That makes almost four, now. And at this time, it's become tradition for me to look back at all the art I've posted....And at all the art I haven't posted. For while most unfinished art is abandoned because it simply isn't worth finishing, there are a few discarded images that are still worth sharing, even if only to give a glimpse of what might have been....

And with that, I present this year's sketchdump:

Well here's something different, at least as far as this sketchdump goes...

Okay, long-time watchers of this gallery know that I get a kick out of making up maps. This was a variation on that. It's mostly a map, but with buildings and other landforms poking up from the surface. Sort of like it was drawn from the view in a low-flying airplane, or from a video-game perspective. Just a bit of an experiment.

And why did I draw this? Well, when not making drawing for my Vistallah setting, I also kick around ideas of a giantess island. A tropical island where women grow to enormous size. Sort of like King Kong's island, only with girls instead of a gorilla. Alternately, an island with a volcano goddess who gets up and interacts with the residents of the island. And maybe choses a few of them to be her priestess...

...In any case, that's what this was supposed to be. A tropical island, set in the present, that was home to both regular people and giantesses. There's a city for the people, a wilderness where the giantesses roam, a few places specifically built for the two of them to meet, all that stuff.

Alas, the exact concept was never pinned down. And I never figured out a 'hook' for the idea that would justify more than a couple drawings. (Or rather, variations of more than one or two basic ideas) Besides, I still don't really like drawing modern cities as backgrounds.... So the idea was left at this.
