Well, I've been at this account for a year now. I've posted a lot of art in that time, but there have also been a lot of works that didn't get posted. Sketches that just didn't turn out good enough. Concepts that never quite worked. And some pieces that just managed to slip through the cracks. Well, with a year under the belt, it seemed like a good time to look back and survey some of the works that didn't make the cut the first time around.

In the backgroungd ther is an old character, Carina the giant naga. Who subsisted exclusively on giant insects. With giant scorpions being her favorite meal. But scorpions are hard to hunt. They must be caught just right contain the tail, and if you try to chase them or pull them out of crevices...well, she's bound to get stung if she tries that.

So Carina found a better way to hunt scorpions--with a friend! She uses a human or neko 'hunting buddy' to lure the scorpions into a pre-determined clearing, where she can pounce on them at her convenience. Its a very easy and effective method. And though they put up such a fuss when she first finds them, her hunting buddies always end up embrasing the spirit of the hunt. They help her keep a sharp eye out for prey, they're happy for her when she gets her meal... And they will even wake her up if she dozes off, just so that she doesn't miss a catch!
