Description
This was a commission to draw Reepicheep the mouse from the description from the Narnia book series.Note: This was commissioned BEFORE the Narnia 2 movie even came close to being released, hence the difference between my Reep and the movie version. I guess that's why it's *my* interpretation

This is such a good drawing. It reminds me of Alice in Wonderland, don't ask me why. I suppose because its quite a surreal image where an animal has taken on human characteristics. Keep up the good work!

Yes, perhaps it was the image of the white rabbit i had in my head. It was one of the first books i owned which had amazing illustrations in it, they were by Arthur Rackham and the one of the white rabbit was one of my favourites.

I had a black mouse in the 70's. He was a real Reepicheep. I should have named him that. Instead I named him Blaggard. He would bite at me if I put my hand in his cage...

Then don't put your finger in his cage! LOL
I never even heard of Reepicheep until the movies came out! Never heard of 'narnia' either for that matter until the movies! Yes, I led a deprived childhood LOL.

You're not the first person who gave me that advice. Anyway, after a few snaps and one bite on the NOSE (I was checking to see if the cage needed cleaning), I would put sticks in: he bit them. I would lower string to brush him. He grabbed it and proceed to reel it in. I even knew him to grab paper I was using to dry a part I just washed and drag it to his nest.He also did NOT like being blown on !
What a mouse ! The internet told me that this breed is particularily truculent. That was 30 years after Blaggard's time, tho.
