Another project that I've been working on for about as long as the Rahkshi one,finally brought to completion.This is my rendition of all 70 something 2003 rebuilt matorans of Mata-Nui,this includes obscure ones which barely appeared on the pages of comics or novels.Such examples include Podu,the po-matoran whomst was trapped under some boulders and rescued by Takua and Rehu (as I call him,maori for ash) a ta-matoran which appeared in the Bohrok Kal animations episode 3.Others also include the le-matoran like Vira,Taiki and Boreas,part of the Gukko defence force and never pictured in MNOG II.I'd also like to thank www.deviantart.com/hazash for being a huge inspiration to me and also giving us an idea on how the le-matoran might've looked like.As far as I know me and him are the only guys mad enough to make all of these matoran.
The biggest challenge surprisingly enough was finding the ammount of pieces necessary in the corresponding colours and the L shaped technic connectors used in the feet were the biggest pain to gather.Most shops online sell them in low numbers hence why it took so long.The painting was also another frustrating part of it since lego purple even today is a shade HARD TO MATCH no matter what colours you combine (my final assessment is that its probably a mix of very bright magenta with a normal blue seen in the ga-koro matoran) hence why my purple on Kaj,Damek and Toudu is way off.
With these 2 projects done I can finally resume my work on the revamped dark hunters,so expect those in the near future.
