What should have been.. happiness.Sonea watching Akkarin play with Lorkin.
I was so sad.. So I decided to give them a second chance in this pic.
Pencil scatch fotographed. I'll scan and work with it porperly once I have access to the scanner at my mom's.

This is the only reason I wish Akkarin had lived, so that he would be a father. Otherwise I hate him and glad he died.

IΒ΄m near to tears... ThatΒ΄s how the trilogy should have ended!!! The dead of Akkarin was so... unfair, for him and for Sonea. The fact that in the end sheΒ΄s pregnant doesnΒ΄t make things better... She could have fallen in love with Dorrien and give him a second chance!

Yeah, the ending was sad.... And, unlike most of the other events in the storyline, predictable. I mean, the villain-turned-hero with a tragic past who has suffered a lot of loss and made a lot of hard decisions, dying in the end? That's just too predictable.
I was also disappointed that Lorlen died, or rather, that Akkarin wouldn't heal him despite his protests.

Well to be honest it was one of the only things I did not predict... I didn't believe it at first. Injured, ok. But dead? No. He had so much trouble all his life.. he'd have deserved a little more happiness...
I was disappointed about Lorlen's death, too... Like so much it could have been avoided.
Did you get why they did not drain the magic from the arena? I thought they would want to. And I expected them to use more of the university secret passages...

Yeah, I really didn't understand why they couldn't take the fight to the arena and draw strength from it, before even encountering the Ichani. Didn't make sense, and made Akkarin's death seem like a worthless waste.
I also didn't expect him to be dead. What I DID expect was yes, that he would be injured and withdraw, forcing Sonea to fight the other three magicians on her own, instead of merely finishing them off.

It ended a bit too abrupt in my opinion.. there should have been three more chapters on the fight to do all the tension justice...
