wut.
I swear this isn't a suicide attempt hahahaa. I decided to give another MTT adoptables' round a go (because I have some pretty awesome ideas for a new MTT chara) with 's pretty thing Hydra ;; I'm simply in love with his design okay?
I basically worked on this for 2 whole days. Literally. Started sketching right away when I saw the new sheet up and finished right before posting. I'm just so sick of my low-quality art when I know I'm capable of way more. Recently when I look back at my gallery I just want to delete everything. Ughh...
*ahem* Sorry for the little rant.
Anyways, challenged myself here in 2 ways: There's only one layer with shading and bg is colored with only 4 colors. I seriously need to fix up my cel-shading hhhhh erasing out the highlights was quite time consuming. Not to mention erasing some windows...
So yes, I worked really hard on this and pushed my limits. I can say I'm satisfied with this because it turned out exactly the way I wanted.

It's so beautiful, no joke. The anatomy and goddamn those colors and shading, just wow! The background and shattered mirror effect is incredible and gives such a pleasantly eerie feel to the entire picture. Akira is a classic old anime film set in a futuristic post apocalyptic tokyo and there's a scene where one of the characters teleports outside of a high science building and just free falls while laughing maniacally.

Oh, okies. I'm usually not very happy when someone decides to comment with "This reminds me of this and that" etc. unless I've mentioned somewhere that it was intended. Kinda brings down a bit when you've worked hard on something for it to be original and then... well, yeah, I hope you get my point here. But don't worry, I'm not taking it seriously atm
Currently my comms are closed but I believe something exactly like this (fullbody chara with 1 layer of cel-shading + detailed bg with small color palette+ additional details) would cost around 40-50 euros, which makes 45-56.5$/ 4500-5650
