Whew! Finally done!
I'm so proud of this...
After what seems like days of work, I have finally finished the piece. In the beginning, I absolutely hated the background, but as I worked on Trin I found myself liking it more and more. It grew on me like a parasitic fungus. Using my own array of homemade brushes, as well as photoshop's nifty set, I used all of the tablet controls that I know how to manage: size, opacity, hue jitter, and scatter. Also, despite my lack of references, I feel comfortable with the lighting and textures, though the emptiness of the plain leaves much to be desired. Trin as well has her own flaws, but I am happy with the new shading style I have discovered, which has much more flow and texture than before. Also note Trin's reflective zombie eyes. I guess watching all of those detailed speedpaints multiple times helped.

Time: Approx. 4 hours.
This is about the same time that I took on the piece I redid this on: Trinitite: New Markings. Now, I know barely anything correlates. Trin's markings have changed (multiple times), I did not use cell shading, her pose is totally different, and she is not perched on a spire of trinitite. But, I wanted to show my improvement in shading, backgrounds, and layout, which includes posing.
