I'm not watching the series (cause I know what happens already blah), and am only watching certain scenes, like immedietly watching Matt's first appearance after hearing that he was colored wrong.And alas, he is colored wrong.
I miss his red hair.
I suck at drawing the Death Note characters unless I draw them like this. And its 2 am. So behold the stick-armed chibis.

Yes I believe you said this in the comments, but Matt's official hair color is brown. And his eyes are blue. Dark blue. EVERYONE GETS THAT WRONG > 3 >

.....Near's pants weren't white in the anime??? I thought they were.....That shows how much attention I payed during the 2nd arc.....((In the last episode, I didn't even see/hear Mikami screaming....))

they actully did mess up mmello's disighn, the necklace he wears has a cross in the manga, and sommething eles in the anime, i think they did that 2 mmisa 2.

Ah, I drew this after seeing just his first appearance, which was colored strangely. His hair color is actually brown.
The manga actually never gave him a hair color, so red was the fan-chosen hair. So, if any hair color is canon, its the anime one now.
Of course, my description says different, I wrote it two years ago when I didn't know this either.

In fact, the author doesn't give a sh*t about Matt colors (and that pisses me off, since is a great character) and he NEVER colored Matt, so those colors, of red hair, and the white shirt, were made by the fans, 'cause we love him.
So Madhouse (those who did the anime) had to add random colors for Matt to make the anime, since the author gave them permission to do whatever they want with Matt colors.
Anyway, I loved this, how Mello is all OHNOES!!! haha amazing!!! I LOLed a lot!!

Yeah, it took me a long time to come to terms with Matt's new color scheme. But now I'm working on a set of buttons and I'm debating whether to stick to the red hair and original color scheme or the anime colors...
You might find this amusing also: in Matt's last scene in the anime, I'm fairly sure he says "Y'all" >.>

Well, they showed him twice before his only big scene (and death). Though it was only for about 2 seconds. To me the 2nd arc characters didn't get much personality.

Blue isn't as good as white, i mean, that won't work at all! (although its still good at keeping the sun out xD)
