Full text SHOULD read "I'm such a nice person, it's a SHAME I'm going to hell for eternity" but "for eternity" wouldn't fit.

WHY, you ask?

People keep TELLING me this! They tell me that I'm such a nice person, it's a shame I'm going to hell for eternity!

WHY am I going to hell? That varies, but it's usually for one of the following reasons:
- I'm Jewish
- I'm Wiccan (EDIT: Pagan. Long story...this is an older deviation of mine)
- I follow Kabalah
- I'm Bisexual
- I'm an artist (seriously. We're evil. Haven't you heard?)
- I swear
- I openly discuss sex
- I'm not married, and I'm not a virgin (this is closely related to the last one)
- I have questions about God (you would not BELIEVE what a discussion about my questions about God can lead to!!!)

So if you fall into any of these categories, chances are, you're in the same boat I am!

So, the next time someone says "You're such a nice person...it's a SHAME you're going to hell for eternity!" use my standard answer.

"But I have this big table reserved! If I give it up, where will my family sit?!"

EDIT: THIS is NOT a Christian-bashing session/thread, whatever you want to call it. The message on the stamp is actually something I have been told. Something that has been said to me many, many times. ACTUALLY SAID TO ME. So, I am reacting to it. If I don't laugh about it, I have to cry. So I laugh. Therefore, before posting here that you hate me, or accuse me of hating you (Damn, man, I don't even KNOW you!) or whatever else you're going to post, go through the comments and read the other people who've done that, and my replies. You might find that I've already addressed your issue.

By the way...PLEASE...if you're going to start something, at least have the decency to respond with more than a one liner of how I will "see the light"...join in the debate or don't bother posting. "Because The Bible Says So" only works with other Christians. I'm not Christian. If you want to convince me, I give you ample opportunity. Don't waste it.

I know, this is turning into the longest running artist's note on the planet.

So, WOW...over three years later, and this stamp still has everyone talking!

So you know, I've now reached #43 as far as this statement goes. Yes, I have, in all seriousness, been told this 43 times. In real life. Where, y'know, the person has to stand there looking at my face when they say it.

I admit, I've gotten creative with my answers. I now announce their number and ask them if they want a t-shirt commemorating the occasion on it.

Either way, the comments on this stamp are amazing, and I encourage you all to keep posting! I don't have time to answer each one, but I promise that I read every last one of them, and if something comes up that I feel the need to address, I will.

Holy $#@!!. That is a lot of comments. Like, a LOT of comments.

I'm going to just reiterate one more time: I had never any intention of bashing anyone or anything with this stamp. It was created because people keep saying it to me. I have now heard this EXACT LINE over 100 times. I married a transgender man, and that seems to bring out the worst in some people.

That being said - NO, I do not believe I am going to hell. To be clear, I personally believe in reincarnation. This stamp was created, AGAIN, as a DIRECT QUOTE. Not as a statement of belief, or to make fun of anyone or their religion. People actually say this to me. Often. A lot. THIS IS SOMETHING PEOPLE SAY DIRECTLY TO MY FACE. Just to make that as clear as humanly possible.

So go ahead and keep debating, I still read everything, but understand - I AM NOT ATTACKING YOU. I don't. Even. KNOW YOU. 'Kay? Good.

And have a great day, btw. I don't think people say that enough.
