Description
Here is my entry for this week's BA color challenge.Decided to try my hand at traditional coloring with a lasso and gradient/fill. It was really hard to not just paint the colors on. I even made it thru most of the picture until I had to color Silver Sable's face. Then I just had to bust out the brush tool cause it was pissing me off. But I'm mostly satisfied with how it came out.

I'm using it as an excuse to sharpen the skills and fill my gallery. Believe it or not, most of this is still pretty new to me. That's why I try to use at least one new technique every time

Thanks, this is literally the first time I've done Cell Shading. So it was a good experiment. Went a lot faster than I expected as well.
I was inspired to try it out after meeting at a recent convention. We were talking shop and traded a few techniques. He's real laid back and he has a style that's very visually appealing. It was a pleasure getting to meet him. I highly recommend checking him out

I will definitely do that. There are times that I do miss cell shading. It does go really fast and in the right piece, can make an even greater impact than painting.

Heh I know what you mean, I hate using gradients when it comes to female faces and figures. Really liked the lighting you chose, and you did an awesome job on Silver Sable.

Though after the fact I keep picking it apart and seeing things I could have done better. Guess that's true for everyone though.
