1/25/13- Updated Yumi Art/moves and added Rose to the team (M8 coming soon with more info on that)
App 2.0 for Arc 2
Anyone is free to use my teams in cameos, but please tell me when you do because I want to feature the work on their pages! I like to keep a running list of adventures and I want other people to see your hard work.

Zulu
A hot-headed Zebstrika who often jumps head-on into battle. He is a bit of a short fuse (hahaha) and hates losing more than anything else in the world. He tends to be full of himself and doesn't take criticism well. He rarely listens to his partner, Yumi, but he trusts her judgment well enough. He inherited his hot temper from his father; it runs in the family. He speaks his mind, even when it's not something very nice. Despite his shortcomings, he really does have a good heart and can be a bit of a goofball. He wears a blue bandana around his left shoulder sometimes. It belonged to his grandsire and he treasures it. Zulu likes to work out in his spare time so he can get "buff." He likes to show off for the ladies and tends to get a bit drunk at parties, after which Yumi has to guide him home. Zulu has known Yumi since childhood and thought to one day be with her in a romantic way, but she rejected him. He has finally come to terms with the fact that they will only ever be friends and partners. Although nothing really fazes him for long, so he wasn't terribly hurt by it. He dreams of evolving into a Zebstrika. He achieved his goal! YAY!

Zulu's mama .

Yumi
Started out her rescuing career as a weak and self-conscious Ponyta but has since evolved into a Rapidash with great confidence. As a Ponyta she would often set things on fire by accident (see fireworks bonanza) but Master Foo helped her overcome her shortcomings. She is full of smarts, strategy, and cunning stealth, making her Zulu's other half; she completes him quite well. She thinks things out thoroughly before making her move, and is mostly Zulu's backup in battle, attacking from the sidelines while he goes head-on. She tends to be more serious and analytical than her partner, but she can also be just as stubborn. Whenever important decisions must be made for their group, Yumi is usually the one to do it. She tries to be patient with her partner, but sometimes she needs to be blunt with him about how stupid he is acting. It's not unusual for them to argue with each other. She does have a kind heart though and cares deeply for every Pokemon she meets. She is always willing to lend a hand (or hoof?) to those in need. Yumi enjoys reading and gardening in her spare time. She hates water and is very afraid of it.

Vetus
Yumi's father by blood. In his youth, he was quite a flirt and a charmer. He would make an effort to catch the attention of every girl he met. He was a hopeless romantic and horribly dramatic by nature. Once he met his wife, Sonette, however, that changed. He was to be with her and her alone. They were madly in love. After Yumi was conceived as an egg, they went out on a small boat just off the coast of Alamomola to watch the sunset together. A vicious storm came out of nowhere and Sonette was lost to the sea. Vetus was heartbroken and locked himself away after that. He did his very best to raise Yumi to be a proper young girl. He taught her of his love of books and how to be polite, among many other things. But in his later years he tended to cut himself from the outside world with no intentions of ever rejoining. Yumi was his pride and joy and he convinced himself he didn't need anything or anyone else to be happy. When she left home to make a rescue team with Zulu, it was another blow to his heart.

Rose
A young and peppy Slakoth who hails from Prismatic jungle 150 years back. Zulu found her napping in his saddlebag and she "offered" to help fight off the Zoroark tribe. Rose, like all Slakoth, suffers from narcoleptic attacks on a daily basis, never knowing quite when she's going to fall asleep. Despite this, she's developed an uncanny ability to snore away at her enemies in defense. Despite her tough and brutish front, she's actually not as dangerous as she makes herself out to be. Not much is known about her past, but based on the ribbon she wears on her head, it's assumed that she was working for Tivoli for a time before something caused her to run away. With nowhere to go and no-one to turn to, she lived the life of a thief for a time before Zulu offered to take her to the future with him, where surely someone would hire her... right?
