Like seriously. I posted something like six months ago and suddenly my dash was full of re-blogs of people calling me horrible things.Guys. What.

To be perfectly honest tumblr just feels like it's full of people looking to be offended by each an little thing. And they deal with this in the most rude way possible sheesh.

Tumblr's set up means people are largely divorced from each other in communications. There's no true comment thread and, in fact, the more complex a debate becomes the harder it is to fit all the words into a reblog chain.
Everyone has set up their own personal soapbox in their very own room and words filter in through the intercom and the person on a soapbox will argue against those words with the idea that they're debating a person. Never mind that the person has little ability to challenge these assertions. There's no comment threads in Tumblr where you can easily track responses (like on DA). So people are stuck arguing with an intercom that either ignores them completely or, on the off chance the OP realizes what's happening, starts debating them after the most egregious slander.
It's an isolating medium where community is incredibly difficult to parce out. It's become something like opposite-land Youtube: where people shock and troll by claiming you're the worst human being alive just to score imaginary points against no one whatsoever.

It's like an emotional masturbation fest. It works on that level, it can work as a great sketchblog and promotional tool as well. However "feels fest" can lead to emotions overriding common sense. So while these things serve their purpose, a positive purpose, they also have an ugly side.
This said, some great porn blogs, man. Sheeeeet
