i scream when you leave my womb...the only safe place you'll ever know...
i breakdown with the pressure that falls with heavy blows on my collapsing structure...
i wish i could kill you at your birth...and spare you and spare me

for the girl child and the woman, who never know a life without pain and suffering and endless disappointments...for many women..everywhere...all the time...always.

I love what you wrote, so dark, so true to a point, I love it. It leaves you feeling cold and hopless in a world so endlessly dark. A bitter cycle. It's amazing when works and art can bring out raw emotions like that.. Job well done!

but i feel that this world is not endlessly dark..maybe because im endlessly optimistic!!

Interesting perspective, I must say. Reading the things you write about makes me think that you may have a dark perspective on things, yet to find that its quiet the opposite really makes me rethink the way I preceive art and the artist.

i have a very dark perspective on many things..but i think the fact that i think like that and still live on optimism is a pretty screwed thing and a pretty fantastict thing depending on the situation!
artists and writers like yourself, are just regular people who learn to sensitise themselves more to their surroundings

and the topic is very moving. i like how the image is very brutal, and aggressive, it might represent aggression, and brutality of this world... but it also made me rely it to the idea of an abortion... to the idea of killing your own child .

well your reading is very right. i guess abortion could be related to it, but its not as much about the birth itself but about the birth of a girl. in many societies it brings a very sorrowful reaction. and even in ancient times. I've tried to link cultures and certain rituals and beliefs with my own birth.

dont worry i wont get you wrong! well im not very pessimistic. surprisingly im quite an optimist...but the universal theme of this topic brings me low and so that is how i chose to represent it.

the image is just a sort of conceptual language...you can make out a mother and child wrapped up in rawness and tears and salt and blood and flesh..and just emotions..but its not that literal at the same time...
i wish i could explain it better
