The primary antagonist of MagicMystique's "Dark Mistress" and the formidable and mysterious smuggling commissioner from "Adriksehn:Skipper" is a complex, sentient form of ethera taking on a composite human form. Nyxe's ethereal nature makes her extremely skilled in psi, specifically sensing human arousal and modifying her appearance, attitude, and nature to adapt and maximize her target's reaction. She has the innate ability to convert attention and sexual attraction into raw physical energy, giving her the ability to utilize direct telekinesis and imbue objects with fragments or complete sentience. She can also transform her own body at will and has the capacity to possess a human host (unwilling hosts can be overpowered, but a particularly powerful form is forged when the host is willing, healthy and fertile).

She has the capacity to empower humans with ethereal abilities, with or without their consent or knowledge. An empowered human psychologically inclined to use her otherworldly gifts to engage in carnal acts is, for Nyxe, an optimal target and reliable source of fuel. The target's arousal, and the arousal of any other human they encounter, is "siphoned" to Nyxe as raw and potent ethera-based form of quantum control. This energy is transferred and converted or metabolized in a manner that precludes all euclidean routes and classical rules of energetic radiation or other propagation.

With an ever increasing pyramidical emotional siphon in which her human thralls are so numerous that power castes exist in which experienced empowered humans are sufficiently skilled to empower additional humans without her direct influence, Nxye's surplus of quantum control gains her access to manifold power foci (flexible sentient multitasking over disparate regions of space [possibly multiple dimensions?]), an increasing range of local reality warping (and an increasing effect of the permanence of these effects), and growing awareness of the spaces her energy occupies as this power increases.

Though Nyxe is not originally human, her attachment to the form comes from her natural ability to influence reality based on their emotional reactions. It is generally accepted to be extremely fortunate to humanity that Nyxe was accidentally summoned/discovered/(possibly forged?) by generally well-meaning, bored modern suburban females, as their emotional response and sense reactions to her presence are thought to be the primary cultural 'road-map' in which Nyxe's understanding of humanity's behavior are rooted. The same founding bond with a sociopath or a warmonger may have resulted in a very speedy end to humanity's existence in the dimensions making up the would-be Vestiniad.

"Vestinia" and "The Vestiniad" are the official IDOX-listed names of Nyxe's primary dimensional conquest and the whole of her subsequent multiple-reality empire respectively. Nyxe, however, calls her original emergent conquest "My Own Vestinia", referring to the whole of her own Empire as "All Vestinia".

Nyxe often uses clothing as sentient intelligentsia with lives and personalities in and of themselves (often referred to as "constructs") or as simple agents of physical control over her thralls (almost always female) and carnal chattel (both sexes, but more often male). Her fixation on clothing comes from a number of factors:
- Her temporary imprisonment within a pair or designer boots, the temporal space of which (ten years) may have given her an understandable obsession over fashion trends, designer brands, and bespoke, well-fitting clothes, as a walk-in closet with these objects may have been her only company and proximate phenomenological experience for the entirety of those ten years.
- Clothing is literally the nearest and most complete physical vector to serve as a receiving conduit for the pleasure signals in nerve endings that are believed to be Nyxe's primary unmetabolized quantum fuel.
- Because of her intimate tie with human arousal, clothing as an agent of control and sensual influence makes a great deal of sense. Clothing having been particularly fetishized in the modern era, and sexuality more freely expressed than any other time in documented history, Nyxe's arrival was timed remarkably to give her a diverse and abundant number, style, and type of outfits and materials to use as an army to dominate the sphere of mankind.

Nyxe's singular vulnerabilty is in anti-ethera, the extent of which is unknown. Nyxe has mentioned that she herself could take a direct hit with a focused, directed anti-ethera device at constant moderate power and not suffer pain nor death, but has gone on to say that her thralls and allies utilizing her quantum manipulation by-proxy have their control nullified immediately by these aforementioned devices. Also nullified are any effects of remotely controlled or imparted sentience granted to normally inanimate objects.
