ChaosHelper 1.1.0 is now available for download
ChaosHelper is a free app that helps you working with Chaotica (chaoticafractals.com ), changing a gradient (creating or selecting one by those great artists) of a selected fractal. Also, it can add or remove a final transform.

PLEASE - although it works very well, consider to use Fractorium (www.fractorium.com ).
Fractorium is a FREE editor and renderer for creating images and animations using the fractal flames algorithm. In addition to the standard rendering method on the CPU, it allows for using the GPU if supported hardware is present.
By using the GPU, Fractorium delivers fluid, real-time feedback to the user during editing. This provides a more efficient workflow, as the user does not have to continually pause after every edit to wait for a preview render to complete.
In addition to GPU support, Fractorium exposes various low level options to give the artist complete control over their work.

This APP is so necessary to add a Final Transform Selector to Chaotica 1.5.5 formally called "Toggle Camera Transform" in previous versions and removed in v1.5.

Hi! I have a problem with this version of Chaoshelper......The .rar download file can't be opened on my windows 10 computer, as it is opened with a video reading Application.
I could download a previous version (1.0.1) because it was proposed with windows installer (.msi file) and this one works allright! May be there is something i don't understand about how to open a .rar file on windows.......if you think you can help, thanks in advance, cause i really appreciate the great help of Chaoshelper!

Hi, the rar file for 1.1.0 contains OSX version, an installer for windows and the portable version. Please, install one RAR application like WinRAR (www.win-rar.com ) to extract the files. I hope it solves your problem.

I used win-rar application as you suggested : i extracted the files and opened the windows installer : everything worked just fine! I have now ChaosHelper 1.1.0 on my desktop and that's really good news! Thank you so much for taking time to answer my message, i really appreciate!

Hi! I found this last Night while just Looking around on Google and read it and went and watched the video
this is really Cool I am no pro with Chaotica and Just learning a tiny bit but got this this chaos helper
and it really works well I just tried it out this Morning and tried to do as you done in the video and it works Great Thanks
for creating such a wonderful tool If I use and upload work from Chaotica and use this helper I will surely Give back Credit

Morning Girl! As I use only Chaotica, I decided to create something that may help people that are in the same way. I work on OSX, and here no APO, no plugins... It helps so much to find a good color for the fractal!

How do you add a Final Transform with ChaosHelper? I can get it to work, but when I press "Add Final Transform", the button toggles to "Remove Final Transform", but I don't see a new Transform appear in the World Editor, or any difference whatsover. Where will I find the Final Transform?
P.S. Thanks for all your wonderful tutorials and artwork! I've been trying to go through and study all of them, they are enormously valuable and instructive for the novice fractal artist such as myself.

Hi Dude!
The final transform is in the Camera, the first option in the Editor.
You can Add or Remove Final transform with ChaosHelper. When you don't have the final, ChaosHelper will show "Add Final Transform". If you have or add it, ChaosHelper will show "Remove Final Transform".
If you install Chaotica 1.5.7 or higher, you don't need ChaosHelper to add or remove final trans... In Chaotica Editor, only click "Toggle camera transform".

Thanks for the response! I have Chaotica Studio 1.5.5, and when I try to download Chaotica_1.5.8.pkg from their website it says "You cannot get Chaotica on this computer". I am running Mac OSX 10.7.5 so perhaps it has to do with that. I emailed glarestudios' support, and am waiting on a response there about whether I can upgrade with the same "license" (even though I purchased from Mac App Store).
Anyways, I copied XML from Chaotica and pasted into ChaosHelper, experimented with gradients (to assure the programs are communicating to one another), and copied XML from the "Copy to Clipboard" in ChaosHelper to Ctrl+V in Chaotica. The color correction functions seem to function as they should.
The trouble still seems to be the "Add Final Transform", which when I click, does indeed change the button to "Remove Final Transform". But it doesn't seem to change anything in my editor. If I click on Camera, there is no dropdown menu, and clicking "New Transform" doesn't add one. The only options on Camera remain "pos", "rotation angle", and "Sensor Width".
Am I missing something totally obvious?

It's correct. If you don't have a final, the button will apear "Add Final Transform". You click it, ChaosHelper add the final transform to the XML, and then changed the button caption to "Remove Final Transform".
If you are using ChaosHelper 1.1.0, you don't need to press control+c...

remember that now it copies automatically to clipboard. Then, before using control+c in Chaotica, close any windows of ChaosHelper to return to main window, use control+c in Chaotica, then paste in ChaosHelper.
