how wildly awesome

it seems i really should have done the simpler colour editor instead of the crazy HSV thing great job with this!

Hi lyc, I implemented this feature thinking in Photoshop. After finding difficulties when using the slider from QT, looking for a solution I found a gradient editor source on the web (gitorious.org/qt-gradient-edit… , so I changed the code and fix some functionality. If you have time, put something like in Chaotica... I would like to align the pallete_index from chaos with ChaosHelper editor.

lyc In reply to triptychaos [2014-12-16 15:03:54 +0000 UTC]

hmmm, it still wouldn't have all the features i need (palette from image, palette to vector/curves, HDR-ness) and if it's GPL i can't use it even if i wanted to - needs to be BSD, MIT etc. however what's clear is that an easier mode is definitely needed!

you should be able to read the palette_index from the .chaos file just fine - or have i misunderstood?

yes, XML APIs are always so terrible! oh God! please, send me some code you have used!

lycChaosFissure  suggested to me to implement a random (random is ok) and to introduce negative and superpositive colors via gradients. Is it possible?

What exactly happens when my pallete_index is < 0 or > 1?

If I have 8 iterators, is it interesting to have 8 arrows at the index position, no?

If my gradient has 256 colors, for example, and my palette_index is 0.5, Chaotica gets the color 128 at the gradient, no?

Chaotica uses only the color indicated in palette_index? or uses the colors  between index positions?

I'm sorry, so many questions!
