Next on the list is Region.
He’s also the opposite of Blazyk like Stellar is, much calmer and hard to anger but explodes violently if properly upset. Region keeps to himself mostly and is very protective over Split. Technically, he’s the oldest of the group and is only behind Adhara. He's about the same size as Stellar, just a little shorter.
Region and Stellar have a more defined difference between the first and second pair of wings than the rest of the group. Their back wings are wider, especially when compared to the first pair but Region’s first set is narrower than Stellar’s. Besides Blazyk with her feathered wings, most of them just have small differences like that that make them more individual but easy to overlook re:drawing a lot. Region has a thicker build in general compared to the rest.
Originally, Region had very little red on him but this time around I’ve expanded on it. He’s fire based like Blazyk but his burns hotter, with a chance of just being lava. As a result there’s always a glow from behind his ribs regardless of what he’s doing that glows brighter and more intensely if he’s worked up or using his fire. He also has essentially limited groundbending abilities but he needs to be in contact with it in order to do anything.
The reasoning for that is because he was originally based on Groudon and it’s an interesting twist, make the thing that lives in the air part ground creature. As a result he’s got a form of the ability Ice Shredders have where he can “fly” underneath and through solid ground by going intangible. It’s a weird ability and a thing I can’t explain better.
Region’s as toxic as the next glider, his spines along his back and his bite have a strong neurotoxin. As he recovered from the experiments with the others he gained an insect like pattern on his wings that’s very striking against the red and black.
The fifth horn on his crest also turned into a more side facing cheek guard which was something difficult for him to deal with, gliders are very peculiar about their crests. But it wasn’t a complete disaster, as the membrane recovered without the fifth horn, but it’s still something he doesn’t like to talk about.
I sadly don’t have much about Region besides this. He’s never really gotten a chance to shine or the attention he probably deserves.
