For this one I decided to test out a different art program, Gimp.I've been working with Firealpaca for a long time now, and I wanted to see what other programs were like.
While this was not my first time ever working with Gimp, it had been several years since I last used it, so this was a bit of a refresher course.
There are things I like a lot about Gimp, but it ended up being more frustrating than fun to complete this piece, so I don't think I'll be switching to Gimp as my go-to art program. It just didn't have a lot of the features I really wanted. But, I could see myself using it for other things in the future. It is still a very good program with it's uses. Just not digital painting.
For my next piece, I plan to test out the program Krita as I've heard very good things about it, and I'm curious how it stands up to Gimp and Firealpaca.
